Flood Recovery

Has your house recently been flooded?

Thanks to the worlds weather changing, more and more people are dealing with flood damage. Whether the damage in your home or place of business is from mother earth or a leaky tap we are here to help. Using the latest technologies and specialised equipment our team have great attention to detail all while delivering a timely service.

What can I do to help my carpets dry out?

Drain and dry your carpets immediately. The most effect way to evict water is to spread towels over the wet areas and apply pressure. You can do this by pressing into the towels with your hands or even use your full bodyweight by walking over them.  Once they have soaked up as much as they can, replace them with new ones, repeating the process until the carpet is totally dry. If dampness persists, using an extraction vacuum, hair dryer, ceiling fan or even dehumidifier should help to elevate the damp. An ordinary household vacuum will not work.

What are the risks of a wet carpet?

If not dried properly and quickly, a wet carpet will become a breeding ground for mould. Over time the carpet will start to give off a damp odour. Extended exposure to mould may cause a host of other problems including watery eyes, skin allergies, congestion in the nose and lungs and difficulty in breathing.
