No Direct Sunlight
Direct sunlight can cause the material to crack and the colours to fade. Once the colours fade there’s usually nothing you can do to make them bright again.
No direct cold air
Leather is susceptible to ice cold air and may crack over time. Having it in an air-conditioned room is fine but putting it directly in the path of cool air is not advisable.
Don’t Clean with Water or Soap
Leather should never be cleaned with soap or water. Prolonged soaking in soap or water can have adverse effects and damage the leather.
Keep the Pets Away
Pets are notorious for creating a mess. Whether it is scratching, or having a little accident, all these things can cause your leather to be permanently damage.
